How to Reset the iPod: “My iPod won’t turn on or off”
My iPod won’t turn on? My iPod won’t turn off? Sometimes iPod’s “will not turn on” or will “lock up” and just freezes. But thanks to Apple we can fix this most of the time just by resetting it. Follow the steps below on how to get your iPod to turn or or unfreeze.Make sure that your iPod is paused or the Hold switch is in the Unlocked position (“away from the headphone jack”). Now try turning it on. If it still will not turn on, try to Reset or (reboot) the device.
How to reset iPod: 1Gen to 3Gen
1. Disconnect iPod from the computer (if connected).
2. Turn your hold switch is off by sliding the switch away from the headphone jack.
3. Press and hold the following combination of buttons simultaneously for approximately 6 to 11 seconds (Play/Pause and Menu buttons)(you my see a apple logo pop up).
How to reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including:
Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video)
iPod nano (Second Generation)
iPod nano
iPod with color display (iPod photo)
iPod (Click Wheel)
iPod mini
iPod mini (Second Generation)
iPod 4G+ (Photo, Nano, Video, and Mini)
1. Disconnect iPod from the computer (if connected).
2. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
3. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
How to reset an iPod Shuffle:
1. Disconnect from the computer (if connected).
2. Turn it off, (wait 6 seconds) Turn it on.

My iPod update! The iPod was running and then it lost the charge. I then plugged it into the wall and nothing happened. It would not turn on at all! After 20min plugged in, finally it turned on. So sometimes plug it into the wall and let it charge for a wile before you do anything. My iPod has been losing its charge faster and the battery meter seems to be acting up or the battery is really losing its charge very fast on some days.

(they you’ll have to plug it in and reboot it with your computer…becuase it’s jailbroken) I don’t know anything in between, but if nothing works, put it in DFU mode, and restore with itunes.

If that dosen’t work for you maybe try letting the battery run until it dies, then reboot.I had to do that once too.1. slide it right to lock, left to unlock2. hold menu+center wheel for 10 seconds

[..YouTube..] do you know how to fix the syncing problem? if you do please tell em how to fix it. before my ipod froze, the screen froze and the buttons wouldn’t work. and now the sync is screwed. can you please help me?

[..YouTube..] 5.5th gen was THE best iPod ever made ever. imo it looked the best it sounded the best and didnt get all these shitty problems 3 of my friends got 6th gen (iPod Classic) and they all broke, ones click wheel came broken and apple wouldnt do anything, the others hold button broke so wasted huge amounts of battery dimming the screen and skipping tracks ect. from hitting things in his pocket and the others battery life is now non existant maybe 40 – 60 mins most LAWL mine is still perfect! XD
